Associação Progresso is a network of community centers providing microfinance and other empowering services in the sectors of education, health, and agriculture to the poor throughout the northern province of Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. Associação Progresso follows the Grameen solidarity group methodology offering their clients 2 loan products, one for agriculture and one for trade credit.  With their previous system, they had poor visibility into the current state of their portfolio and looked to Mifos to give them a clear picture of their operations and up to date knowledge of their clients and their outstanding loans. Their deployment was lead by SBS and the Mifos Initiative in Mozambique, a consortium of project management, business consulting, and technology development specialists working to deliver Mifos as the standard MIS for microfinance institutions throughout Mozambique.
